Tub Talk: Essential Oils
While there are many benefits of using essential oils, adding them to your bath-time routine promotes physical and mental relaxation (ultra timely!) while also boasting skin-healing properties. Our brand of choice is NOW Foods, which produces a line of pure, organic essential oils, blends and diffusers for aromatherapy.
Stress Less, Glow More Recipe:
– 5 drops Lavender Oil
– 4 drops Chamomile Oil
– 3 drops Frankincense Oil
Each oil has been specifically selected for this recipe for its unique healing properties. Lavender Oil is an excellent anti-inflammatory, useful for treating anxiety, insomnia, depression and restlessness. Bonus: it smells amazing! Chamomile calms and soothes the skin, boosting the appearance of healthy looking skin while reducing redness and irritation; Chamomile also provides relief for a dry scalp. Frankinsense oil helps to protect skin cells, while helping reduce blemishes, the appearance of large pores/wrinkes; it naturally lifts/tightens the skin.
Tip: don’t forget your carrier oil! Carrier oils dilute essential oils and allow for easy skin absorption. Add one tablespoon of coconut oil, avocado oil, or jojoba oil, et voila!
